Who operates FRole

FRole is operated by Apricode Web Lab. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

Information we process

We process account details, resumes, career profiles, search preferences, search results, application tracking data, billing records, support messages, and essential technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.

When you use social sign-in, we receive your provider identifier, name, and email address from Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn. We use a matching email address to connect the social identity to your existing FRole account and mark that email as verified.

For abuse prevention we may also store a normalized form of your email address (for example treating common alias or formatting variants of the same inbox as related) and cryptographic hashes of uploaded resume files and extracted resume text. These hashes help detect duplicate free accounts; they are not sold and are removed with the related resume or account data.

When bot protection is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile may process a short-lived security token and related technical signals during registration. We may also store a blocked-account reason when an account is restricted for suspected abuse.

How we use information

We use this information to provide personalized job search, maintain your application tracker, manage your account and plan, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and improve service reliability.

Abuse prevention includes verifying email addresses before granting free credits, refusing disposable email addresses, comparing normalized emails and resume hashes across accounts, and blocking or refusing new free accounts that appear to duplicate an existing free account.

Legal bases

We process data needed to create and operate your account, provide searches and tracking, and manage paid plans to perform our contract with you. We use legitimate interests for service security, fraud prevention, support, and reliability. We use consent only where we specifically ask for an optional use, and we process records where required by law.

Job sources and AI processing

FRole receives information directly from you, from connected identity providers, and from publicly available job and company websites. Extracted resume text, professional profiles, preferences, and public vacancy information may be processed by OpenAI and Perplexity to create your professional profile and produce job recommendations. If you enable Company Monitoring, we retain the companies you select, monitoring schedules, discovered company sources, personalized results, and notification history so that we can repeat matching searches and alert you to new roles. Original resume files remain in FRole storage and are not sent to these AI providers. FRole does not make legal or similarly significant automated decisions about you, and employers make their own hiring decisions.

Service providers and international processing

We may use hosting, email, artificial intelligence, authentication, bot-protection, analytics, and payment providers to deliver FRole. Information may be processed outside your country where those providers operate, subject to appropriate safeguards and their applicable terms.

Cloudflare provides Turnstile bot protection during account registration. Payment, AI, hosting, and identity providers process data as needed to deliver their parts of the service.

Retention, security, and your choices

We retain account, profile, search, and application data while your account is active. After deletion, operational copies are removed or anonymized within a reasonable period, subject to backups and records we must retain for security, legal, accounting, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes. Support and billing records may be retained for up to seven years where legally necessary.

You may review and update account information, disconnect a social provider when another sign-in method remains available, or delete your account. You may also contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or other rights available under applicable law.

Your data protection rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to be informed, access a copy of your data free of charge, correct inaccurate data, request erasure or restriction, receive portable data, object to certain processing, withdraw consent without affecting earlier processing, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Contact [email protected] to exercise a right. We may need to verify your identity.

Cookies and local storage

FRole currently uses only first-party storage necessary for secure sessions, CSRF protection, authentication, language preferences, and remembering that you dismissed the cookie notice. The session cookie normally expires after 120 minutes of inactivity unless sign-in persistence applies. We do not currently use advertising or third-party analytics cookies. If that changes, optional cookies will remain disabled until you make a clear choice. You can delete or block storage in your browser, but essential features may stop working.

When you read a FRole resource, we use a random first-party session identifier to measure aggregated visits, calls to action, registrations and subsequent product use. We do not store your IP address or browser signature for this purpose or share this attribution with advertising platforms. Anonymous attribution records are deleted after 90 days; records linked to an account are deleted with that account.

Children

FRole is intended for people aged 18 or older. Do not create an account if you are under 18.

Security and changes

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this notice when our practices change and will publish the new date and request a new acknowledgement when appropriate.
